Re-Wilding Your Practice: The Decision to Leave Insurance Panels

8 Week Consultation Group

Thursdays, 12-1:30pmCST

September 10 - October 29, 2026

This cohort is intentionally kept small (max 15 people) for depth and clarity.

It’s NOT a support group—it’s a transition incubator for therapists ready to build practices that actually work—ethically, financially, and clinically.

Week One: “The Reckoning: Is it Time to Leave?”

Curriculum Focus:

  • Core decision point: why stay, why leave?

  • Industry shifts + what’s actually changing

  • What signs signal it’s time (practical + emotional cues)

  • Are you truly ready—or still comforting yourself with “maybe”?

  • What values are non-negotiable for you?

  • What is the cost of staying as is?

Week Two: “Unpacking the Therapist Wound: Money, Morality, and Identity”

Curriculum Focus:

  • Emotional, ethical, and ancestral baggage around money + care

  • Why “private pay = unethical” thinking is usually survival guilt

  • Internal permission vs. external validation

  • What story do you hold around money and helping?

  • Where are you subconsciously tying undercharging to being good?

  • Whose approval are you carrying (profession, parents, mentors)?

Week Three: “Vision Mapping: Your Private Practice on Your Own Terms”

Curriculum Focus:

  • What kind of practice do you actually want? (Not just defaulting to what you had)

  • Niche, specialty, or generalist: choosing based on skill + desire, not fear

  • Energetic model: pace, session type, week structure

  • Who are you really here for?

  • What kind of clinical work enlivens you—not just pays the bills?

  • What kind of professional ecosystem are you building?

Week Four: “Pricing Power: Setting Fees That Reflect Reality”

Curriculum Focus:

  • Calculating livable, expansive, AND sustainable fees

  • Emotional charge around raising/lowering rates

  • How to structure offers and session types

  • What’s your bare minimum fee—and what does your ideal feel like?

  • What archive of undercharging are you clinging to?

  • How do your pricing structures actually reflect real care?

Week Five: “The Art of Letting Go: Transition Strategy Without Meltdown”

Curriculum Focus:

  • How to offboard insurance (communication scripts, logistics, timeline)

  • How to handle client reactions (grief, anger, guilt)

  • Who stays, who goes, and why

  • Who do you want to transition—and who do you need to release?

  • Where does your implementation typically stall?

  • What’s your 60-day transition game plan (not just intention)?

Week Six: “Embodied Boundaries: Structure That Serves YOU”

Curriculum Focus:

  • Scope of work clarity (when are you available—and when are you not?)

  • Email boundaries, DMs, in-between session energy

  • Saying no gracefully (especially to non-aligned clients)

  • Where is your practice leaking energy?

  • How do you define enough—and enforce it?

  • What structures support your clinical brilliance and your wellbeing?

Week Seven:  “Messaging and Magnetism: Tell the Truth, Get Paid”

Curriculum Focus:

  • How to communicate your value without over-explaining

  • Copy samples: bios, “why I’m leaving insurance” emails, FAQ answers

  • Website copy and intro calls—how to invite clarity, not convince

  • What are you afraid will happen if you tell the truth about who you serve and what you charge?

  • Where are you still coding your website/social for approval vs. authority?

  • What about your work are you passionate about?

Week Eight: “Lock It In: Integration, Accountability, and Sustainable Action”

Curriculum Focus:

  • What’s implemented, what needs to be revised

  • Next 30–60 day moves: list, accountability structure

  • Personal anchor statement moving forward

  • What are you proud of in this process?

  • What’s your next best action—not your next ten?

  • Who/what is holding you accountable as you build this out?

Open to MAX 15 therapists
